Frequently asked questions
Are subtitle files uploaded?
Local subtitle files are processed and saved in this browser. YouTube imports use our server and Supadata. Projects are not synchronized to your account.
Can I recover a project after clearing browser data?
Only if you downloaded a project backup. Browser storage can be cleared or unavailable; save a backup for important work.
Does plain text become synchronized subtitles?
Plain text creates draft cues lasting three seconds per line. Review and adjust timings against your video. This editor does not recognize speech or synchronize audio.
What does the quality check look for?
Empty cues, overlapping or out-of-order times, short display times, long lines and more than two lines. These are review prompts, not a guarantee that subtitles match the video.
Do edits and exports use import credits?
No. Local editing and export do not consume import credits. Paid imports and Pro workflows are described on the pricing page.
